After a battling first half which saw few goal scoring opportunities the game burst into life in a thrilling second half which produced six goals and plenty more chances for either side to steal the three points.

Four minutes after the break Nick Fogden headed Burgess Hill in front at the far post. Casuals led by the Joe Nwoko's frightening pace fought back into the game . First Nwoko made a short run before seeing his shot deflected over, then he set up Tyrone Myton who fired over. At the other end Colin Harris made a good save from Johnson's header.

The equaliser came from the penalty spot after Paul Hunt was brought down; Dale Hennessey comfortably despatching the spot kick on 59 minutes. Harris was then called upon to make another good save from the lively Jackson, before fine battling by Nwoko allowed him to get a shot in, but the end product was disappointing. Burgess Hill retaliated again and only a fine save from Harris who saved a header at point blank range from Harper kept Casuals level.

Burgess Hill went back in front on 69 minutes, when Dan Beck had the simple task of tapping in, with the Casuals defence, all at sea. Casuals again came back strongly and Nwoko was again instrumental in causing havoc in Town's defence, but his shot was blocked. Fortunately Casuals were saved by an inspired substitution by manager Brian Adamson which saw Joe McNerney equalise with his first touch of the game with 13 minutes left.

On 83 minutes Burgess Hill took the lead for the last time through a delightful chip by James Westlake which just crept inside the far post. It was Casuals who had the last word when super-sub McNerney headed in Hunt's cross to rescue a valuable point. Casuals could have claimed a memorable result when Nwoko fired wide late on, but overall it was a good performance and neither side deserved to lose.
