Casuals President Jimmy Hill cut the ribbon to open Loxwood's new stand on Saturday, but this failed to inspire the famous amateurs. Casuals forced an early corner, but this was cleared before on 10 minutes Leroy Griffiths, hit a low cross was met by Luke Edghill. Edghill's shot was pushed away by the goalkeeper, to Matt Smith who was on hand to hit home the loose ball.
Loxwood equalised on 14 minutes when Grantham converted a cross from the left wing. This stirred the Casuals into action briefly, but all they could muster during the pressure was shots by Smith, Tom Jelley and Griffiths.
The second half began again with Casuals on the attack and Jelley hit over from a pass cut back by Griffiths. Griffiths again was the provider for another good Casuals chance, but Lee Matthews failed to control the ball in a good position.
Casuals survived a late scare when Ken During cleared off the line with five minutes to go, as both teams pressed for a winner which never arrived. The game ended in a fair 1-1 draw.
