Another fine performance saw Casuals win their first trophy since 2001. Casuals were the dominant side throughout and after five minutes David Tucky hit the upright after a corner by Tom Jelley. Tucky again forced the keeper into a save six minutes later as Casuals looked like taking the lead. After 15 minutes the Engineers keeper saved at the feet of Tyrone Myton, before five minutes later Casuals pressure finally paid off when Tom Jelley finished coolly.
Casuals continued to press in the second half and Tucky charged down the right wing, before crossing to Hunt, who headed back across goal for Jelley whose shot forced a great save from the Engineers keeper. After 25 minutes Taylor hit a long range effort, before Engineers first real chance was tipped over by Colin Harris.
With three minutes to go Tucky hit the bar and this was followed two minutes later when Banyard hit the bar with a delicate chip and Taylor following up also managed to hit the bar with a header. Engineers had a late chance to equalise but Banyard cleared from close to his goal line and Casuals were the winners.
