On a dreary Sunday morning our fixture against Surrey & Hants League Div 1 side Steamers turned out to be anything but dreary. Steamers turned out with a full squad of 22 players which I think showed the degree of respect for us and it turned out they neeeded them.
Casuals "A" matched them tackle for tackle, pass for pass and indeed but for the goal post on three occasions preventing us scoring could have been a reversed scoreline.
However what was pleasing was the compliments we got after the game from our opponents and the request for a return fixture hopefully at our ground at the end of the season.
