The reserves faced a daunting task against a Sutton Reserve side consisting in their starting line up of 7 of Suttons first team that played last Saturday plus two more first team players returning from injury, our team was a genuine reserve team with one player who was on the bench for last Saturdays first team game, and a number of 16 and 17 year olds.
We conceded a goal after 40 seconds and were continually under severe pressure for the first half hour but managed to only concede one more goal prior to half time.
In the second half we switched from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 and gradually created more chances although Sutton were still having the balance of the play. The longer the game went on the better we performed very good goals from Joe McNerney and Taylor Mollatt brought the score level and we created a couple of very good chances in the last 5 minutes which could have won the game for us.
This was a very good all-round team performance by every player.
