Casuals produced a promising performance against their old friends from Molesey. Fielding a new look attack Casuals created plenty of opportunities and could have scored five by half time with Jason Hanif, Mark Tulley, and Luke Edghill all having chances, but were just lacking the killer touch in their first match of the season.

Molesey had their moments and it was only Russell Banyard who hooked a shot by the visitors off the line which kept the scores level at half-time.

Within seconds of the restart Casuals were caught napping and Molesey exploited a flat back four and took the lead. Casuals though continued to knock the ball about and were the side who looked more likely to score. Their patience was rewarded on 55 minutes when Mark Tulley was brought down for a penalty. After dusting himself down, he stepped up to blast Casuals level.

Casuals continued to press and after Jason Hanif raced through only to shoot wide, followed by Luke Edghill beating two men, before seeing his shot blocked. With 15 minutes remaining Edghill back heeled Casuals into a 2-1 lead and the same player completed the scoring five minutes later.
