A creditable performance by Casuals saw them make Kingstonian work hard for their victory. The scoreline was somewhat flattering and only three late goals made it look more convincing.
A bright start by Casuals went unrewarded and Kingstonian took the lead on 12 minutes when Tommie Williams miss hit cross hit the post and bounced into the net. Casuals played well against the undefeated league leaders, but suffered a sucker punch a minute after the break when Bobby Traynor tucked his shot just inside the post to give the visitors a two goal lead.
Casuals stormed back and reduced the deficit with a minute when Matt Smith found himself clear and coolly beat Luke Garrard. On 54 minutes Joe Nwoko brought the scores level with another fine finish. Casuals briefly flourished and looked to score a third, but as the game progressed Kingstonian began to raise their game.
With 16 minutes left Carl Wilson-Denis put Kingstonian in front. This was followed four minutes later when Wilson-Denis sealed the game following some slack defending. Casuals had no answer to these quick strikes and the game was wrapped up in injury time when Neil Lampton was on hand to score Kingstonian's fifth.
