Corinthian-Casuals Manager James Bracken has been awarded Kingston-Upon-Thames Mayor’s Special Award for his services to football.

Martel Atterbury - Sports & Leisure Development Officer for the Council said, “The panel felt that this award would be very fitting to the role James has at the club and a fantastic way to celebrate his success.” Bracken is set to receive his award at a special presentation hosted at the Town Hall on October 8th.

Bracken was nominated for his services to the club which is located in the south of the Royal Borough. The 34-year old has been manager for three seasons and in that time has taken the club to its highest position since the founding of Corinthian-Casuals in 1939 when the two parent clubs, Corinthians and Casuals, came together.

As Vice President David Harrison says, “This is a remarkable achievement both for the manager and the club which continues to play as strictly amateur in the world of non-league football competing against clubs with large budgets.”

Bracken has won numerous awards in his time at Casuals including multiple ‘Isthmian League Manager of the Month’ plaudits. He was also recognised by the Non League Paper as "one of the brightest prospects in management"

From all at Corinthian-Casuals, we’re delighted that he’s once again been recognised for all of his efforts, commitment and success.
