A select team of CCFC Youth Section players will be taking on a visiting team from America on Friday July 4th at 6.30 pm at Southborough School Playing Fields!

This 'like-for-like' game matches a team from Michigan, of different ages/genders against a matching team of players from the Youth Section.  The team, TKO Crew Juniors are bringing 2 x 15 years old, 2 x 13 year old, 3 x 16 years old, 2 x 12 year old boys, plus 4 x 14 year old girls, and Casuals will provide a team comprising of the same ages and genders.

This is a one-off, unique game and we would like to help them celebrate Independence Day with a good competition and a Corinthian welcome.

TKO Crew Juniors come from Kalamazoo, Michigan and their director of football commented, "It has been a dream of the players in our club to get enough players to form a team to travel over to England, the birthplace of soccer and home to our players’ favourite teams like Manchester United, and to experience the true passion for the game Europeans feel and to get a taste of playing international competition which none of the teams in our club or community have experienced so far."

All are welcome and it would be great to have a big crowd to support our team.  We hope to see you there.

Kingstonian will look to defend their crown at the annual Geoff Harvey Memorial Vase, but will have to overcome tough opposition if they are to achieve the feat.

The two-day tournament, held at Corinthian-Casual’s King George’s Arena in Tolworth is comprised of four Ryman League teams, battling it out in a knockout format. Kingstonian are joined by hosts Corinthian-Casuals and newcomers to the Vase, Hampton and Richmond Borough and Merstham.

Saturday 12th July sees Hampton take on Merstham in the early kickoff – 11am, whilst last season’s winners, Kingstonian take on the home side Corinthian-Casuals at 3pm.

Tommy Williams returns to King George’s for the first time since becoming manager of K’s after the departure of Alan Dowson. Williams was integral to Casuals’ resurgent form in the last few months of the previous season, but is delighted to get back in the managerial hotseat, becoming Dowson’s successor.

Hampton and Richmond Borough will also come with a point to prove; The Ryman Premier outfit defeated Kingstonian 4-1 on Boxing Day last season, whilst Merstham knocked previous Vase winners Casuals out of the FA Cup.

The winners of each game, decided by penalties should the scores remain level at 90 minutes will then face each other for the prestigious Vase on Sunday 13th July at 3pm. The losers from Saturday will face each other in the early kickoff at 11am.

Entry for the tournament is £8 per day or £12 for the weekend – working out at just £3 per match. Concessions are available. Supporters and visitors alike can enjoy a fully licenced bar with big screen television and a full colour, glossy tournament programme.

Whatever the outcome of the four games, adding a competitive edge to the pre-season programme is always welcome and last year’s tournament saw no less than sixteen goals across the four games.
