Casuals couldn't build on Wednesdays win at Worthing as they went down 2-1 at Burgess Hill. The home side took a deserved lead when Luer finally beat the once again impressive Danny Bracken 8 minutes before the break. Halfway through the second half the lead was doubled when Danny Dudley slid the ball into his own net. Casuals pressed but couldn't find the breakthrough until 2 minutes into injury time when Ellis Wilson-Joseph finished from close range, Stuart Trees match report can be viewed here along with his pictures

Casuals are off the mark for the season with a fine 3-1 victory away to Worthing. An entertaining match saw Dave Hodges open our account for the season with a fine volley after 17 minutes. The home side who were lively throughout were consistently thwarted by an inspired Danny Bracken in the Casuals goal. The second half saw Casuals double the lead through Juevan Spencer before Jamie Byatt volleyed home the goal of the evening to seal the points. The home side briefly threatened a comeback when substitute Gayler fired home with 18 minutes remaining but further resolute defending and excellent keeping ensured the points headed back to South London. This Wednesday, we travel to the Sussex coast to take on Worthing in the Ryman League Division One South. Both teams are chasing their first win of the season. Casuals will be looking for a better performance than the one which saw us lose 3-0 to Sittingbourne on the opening day of the current Ryman campaign. Worthing will also be looking to take three points after a late Faversham penalty robbed the Rebels of at least a point last Saturday. The corresponding fixture last season saw Casuals take all three points from Woodside Road and Matt Howard will be looking for his side to do the same again. However, with new summer signings Trevor McCreadie, Alex Laing and Elliot Levy adding strength to the home side, taking three points back up the A24 will be a tough ask. Kickoff is scheduled for 7.45pm. How to get there... http://www.worthingfootballclub.co.uk/club/FindUs Admission prices -
Casuals opened their campaign with a 3-0 defeat at home to Sittingbourne as they paid the price for lapses of concentration at the back. A tight first half which saw positive signs for the home side appeared to be ending all square but George Crimmen headed home shortly before the interval. It got worse moments into the second half as David Abe broke free to double the lead and despite plenty of Casuals pressure the same player looped home a head 6 minutes from time to wrap up an emphatic win for the Kent side. A match report can be viewed here and also Stuart Tree's match photos This Saturday, we open our Ryman League Division One South campaign with a home tie against Sittingbourne. The corresponding fixture from last season saw us share the spoils with a 1-1 draw - courtesy of a brilliant piece of play from Steve Goddard. However, the Brickies are without their top two leading goalscorers from last year - Joe Taylor and Ryan Golding, who've both moved onto pastures new. New striker, Hary Smith looks set to start. Casuals look to continue their recent good pre-season form and Matt Howard appears to not have any injury concerns, bar Ross Defoe, who missed Saturday's friendly with a knock to the knee. Kickoff is 3pm with entry at £8 / £4 concessions. The matchday programme (pictured) continues to go from strength to strength and the first edition of the 2014/15 season includes a full run-down of our opponents; a look back at 10 years ago when we played Manchester United; Captain Joe Hicks' thoughts on the season ahead; a comprehensive review of pre-season and articles from Stuart Tree and Ade Roberts, amongst much more. We look forward to welcoming all down at King George's Arena... VAI CORINTHIANS! Casuals concluded their pre-season preparations on Saturday as they drew 1-1 with Ryman Premier outfit Metropolitan Police. A tight even contest saw the deadline broken when Charlie Collins kept his cool to fire home past Danny Bracken on 70 minutes but inside the final 5 minutes Juevan Spencer raced clear and slotted past Stuart Searle to earn Casuals a deserved draw. This came on the back of Tuesdays 1-1 draw at Combined Counties outfit Westfield with Carl Wilson Dennis netting for Casuals.
