Up until Tuesday evening our visitors were neck a neck with us in the table. However a 3-1 reversal at home to Faversham has seen them slip to 11th their lowest position of the season. ![]() Casuals recorded their first win in 8 games as they turned in a solid display to beat Hastings United. A superbly worked Carl Wilson-Denis goal after 36 minutes was enough to claim all 3 points. A solid performance rarely saw Casuals threatened at the back with Danny Bracken in commanding form. The result lifts Casuals up to 7th in the table. ![]() Tuesday 28th October 7.45pm Ryman Division One South After Saturdays disappointing performance and result Casuals will be looking to bounce back on their own turf this evening as we host Hastings United. Our visitors are now under the guidance of ex-East Preston Manager Dominic DI Paola who was appointed earlier this month. There have already been signs of improved performances and results and on Saturday they held free scoring Whyteleafe to a goalless draw at Church Road. Two goals before half time gave the hosts a firm grip of the game and the experienced front man grabbed the match ball with 20 minutes remaining. Despite taking an early lead through Reece Placid's deflected effort the visitors rallied and deservedly drew level when Phill Draycott curled home superbly. The second half saw the Southern League side take control as Danny Watson slotted home following a defensive mix up, The same player added a 3rd with 17 minutes left and despite a few near misses it wasn't to be Casuals night and the booked a trip to Leiston in the next round. ![]() Tuesday 21st October 7.45pm FA Trophy Preliminary Round Replay Casuals and Leighton Town meet once again this evening as the compete for the right to Travel to Leiston in the next round of the FA Trophy. Supporters from both sides will be hoping for a repeat of Saturdays thrilling second half which saw 6 goals. The tie must be decided tonight and there will be extra time and penalties if necessary. Admission remains at £8 adults and £4 concessions. There is plenty of free parking at the ground and any first time visitors using public transport can find the ground a short walk from Tolworth railway station. A thrilling cup tie at Bell Close which swung to and fro in a remarkable second half came to life when Jamie Byatt nodded home in the 58th minute. The Southern League side responded though with 2 goals in as many minutes as both Lester and Senla thumped home headers. Casuals themselves responded straight away when Byatt smashed home the games 4th goal in 8 minutes. The striker notches his hat-trick when he raced clear with 12 minutes remaining but the home side weren't down and Ridgeway saw his header cap off a dramatic afternoon. The sides meet again this Tuesday 21st October at King Georges Arena 7.45pm ![]() Saturday18th October 3pm FA Trophy Preliminary Round It's a break from league action this weekend as Casuals make the journey to Bedfordshire to take on Leighton Town FC. Our opponents who ply their trade at step 4 similar to ourselves currently sit 19th in the Southern League Central division with 12 points from 12 games. Last weekend they lost 4-0 at home to Godalming Town. The hosts will be looking to improve on their cup record this season having bowed out to Combined Counties division one side Bedfont & Feltham despite the step 6 side playing much of the second half with 10 men. Casuals themselves will be seeking their first cup victory of the season. Kick off is at 3pm and live match updates will be available via twitter. If the scores are level after 90 minutes then there will be a replay at King George's Arena the following Tuesday (subject to confirmation) Bell Close Lake Street Leighton Buzzard Bedfordshire LU7 1RX Leighton Town FC is situated about 1/4 mile south of Leighton Buzzard town centre on the A4146 Leighton Buzzard to Hemel Hempstead road and about 1/2 mile north of the Leighton by-pass(A505) If heading south towards Hemel Hempstead the entrance to the ground is on the right hand side of the road directly opposite Morrisons Supermarket Petrol Station,just after the Traffic Lights and Town Houses. Car Parking is available immediately adjacent to the ground. Arriving from the West From Aylesbury, then take A418 towards Leighton Buzzard after approximately 7 miles you will reach and go through the village of Wing. About 1/2 mile the other side of Wing you will meet a roundabout. Turn right onto the Leighton By-pass (A505), head towards Dunstable . Go straight over the first roundabout,then at the next roundabout take the first exit Grovebury Road. Travel to the T junction at the end of this road then turn left. Almost immediately you will arrive at a mini roundabout take the first exit. Approx 50 yards along on the left you will see the entrance to the club car park(opposite Morrisons Petrol Station)and just before a new housing complex. Car parking is on your left as you turn. Travel from Midlands using M1. Leave the M1 at Junction 15 take the A508 towards Milton Keynes. After 9 miles you will reach the A5 roundabout , take the 1st exit and travel about 8 miles to the roundabout at the end of the dual carriageway. Take the 2nd exit , follow the A5 towards Dunstable. After about 3 miles you will arrive at another roundabout (Flying Fox pub on your left) take the 3rd exit towards Heath & Reach and Leighton Buzzard. Follow this road for about 4 miles until you arrive at a large roundabout in Leighton Buzzard then take the 1st exit. At the next roundabout take the second exit, you will then go through 2 sets of lights, the ground and car park is on the right immediately after the lights and opposite the Petrol station. From the South. Take the M1 to Junction 8 (Hemel Hempstead) and head towards the Town Centre . As you go down the hill into Hemel you will reach a multi directional roundabout. Turn right then follow the signs for Leighton Buzzard(A4146). Leighton Buzzard is about 16 miles north west of Hemel Hempstead along this road. Arriving by train Leighton Buzzard is situated on the London Euston - Watford - Milton Keynes - Northampton line, but the station is actually in Linslade and about a 20 minute walk from the ground. From the station entrance go to the top of Station Road and bear right onto New Road. Turn left at the bottom of New Road and you will come to a major junction with traffic lights. Turn right towards Leighton Buzzard. Cross over the canal then turn right into Bridge Street for the High Street. At the bottom of the High Street bear right onto Lake Street which becomes a main road.
