![]() Casuals are through to the 3rd round of the Surrey Senior Cup after a 2-1 victory over Walton Casuals at the Waterside stadium A first half Jamie Byatt brace was sufficient enough to see off the challenge of the home side who despite still sitting bottom of the league have improved of late under new management. The home side hit back early in the second period through Gabirel Odunaike but despite their best efforts they couldn't breach a determined Casuals defence any further. This is a reverse of the seasons opening fixture when the Brickies ran out 3-0 winners at King Georges Avenue. Since then both sides have remained in the top half of the table. Up until Tuesday evening our visitors were neck a neck with us in the table. However a 3-1 reversal at home to Faversham has seen them slip to 11th their lowest position of the season. Last seasons fixture earlier this year finished goalless. It seemed another routine home win was on the cards when Jordan Wright fired the Seasiders into an 8th minute lead, The second half saw Casuals deservedly draw level through Jamie Byatt (pictured) in the 67th minute but almost immediately the hosts swept upfield and restored their lead through veteran Paul Booth. The game was wrapped up with 7 minutes left when skipper Joe Hicks was dismissed and Booth slammed home the penalty. Substitute Ronnie Dolan added a 4th with hist first touch 60 seconds later which saw the home side close the gap on leaders Faversham Town to 3 points. ![]() Tuesday 11th November 7.45pm Ryman Division One South Casuals are once again on their travels this evening as they make the long journey down to the South Kent coast to face an in-form Folkestone Invicta. Our hosts have won their last 6 games in all competitions including a superb 3-1 win away at Dover in the Kent Trophy. Their last defeat came at the end of September. At the Fullbacks stadium their record is a formidable 22 points from a possible 24. Mertstham the only side to leave with a point this season. The visitors will be looking to end a run of poor form that has yielded just 4 points from a possible 21 The Fullicks Stadium Cheriton Road, Folkestone, CT19 5JU Tonights match kicks off at 7.45pm and admission is £9 adults £6 concessions Live match updates will be available via Twitter ![]() A late goal from Michael Salako wasn't enough to give Casuals a share of the points at King George's this afternoon after Ian Pulman and Tom Loynes gave the visitors the lead in this tight affair. A first half strike from Pulman and a penalty from Loynes looked to give the points to the Oystermen but a late surge from Casuals, ending with a powerful header from substitute Salako (pictured) looked like it could've gotten them back in the game.
