For those of you who love the bygone era of old football stadiums then you will love the panorama of the ground when you stand on the east side of the ground. The old main stand (not that there is a new one, it is just old), sits high on the terrace, with a fenced off paddock in front and has smart blue seats with AFC in white picked out. Views are good from here. How do I get there? M25 Northbound (anti-clockwise) Exit the motorway at Junction 31 (A1306, first junction after Dartford Tunnel). At the roundabout follow the directions for the Aveley. Turn off and head up Ship Lane. At the mini-roundabout on the High Street turn left. At the next mini-roundabout turn right into Mill Road. The entrance to the ground is 600 yards on the right (after St. Michael's Close). Please note: due to a sharp left from Ship Lane onto the High Street coaches may find it easier to follow the instructions for Southbound traffic. M25 Southbound (clockwise) Exit the motorway at Junction 30 and turn right (A13 London). At the next junction (A1306) follow signs to Rainham / Wennington. Turn immediately right into Sandy Lane (B1335) to Aveley. At the next roundabout turn right into Mill Road. The entrance to the ground is 300 yards on the left (after St. Paul's Close). Public transport Bus 372, which operates from Hornchurch to Lakeside, passes the ground. London Underground travellers can get off the tube at Elm Park on the District Line and catch the 372 which stops outside the station. You can also pick up the 372 from Rainham Railway Station (London Fenchurch Street to Grays). How did they do last weekend? A 1-0 home win over Enfield Town which lifts them to 10th in the table Anything else I should know? Since leaving their old Recreation ground Grays have shared at East Thurrock and also Rush Green. They are hoping to move back into a purpose built community stadium and are working with local authorities to push the project forward. Corinthian Casuals v Egham Town Tuesday 24th November 2015 7.45pm Surrey Senior Cup Round 2_ Its back to a week of cup action again as Casuals host Southern league Egham Town this evening After winning the Combined Counties League in 2013 the Sarnies have enjoyed a steady return back into the semi-pro ranks and have excelled this season where they currently lie in 7th place after being top in October. Casuals will be looking to maintain their 100% home record in cup competitions this season. How do I get there? From M25, M23, A22 or A264 (north, west and east). Go through traffic lights at Felbridge and continue along A22 London Road. After about 1.5 miles you will see Fire Station on your left. After 200 yards turn left into Moat Road. Continue along Moat Road until you come to a mini-roundabout. Entrance to the GAC Stadium is signposted here. Cross mini-roundabout and turn left immediately. You are now in East Court. Turn immediately left for access drive to the Stadium. Sat Nav: RH19 3LS How did they do last weekend? A 5-2 loss at Worthing although a magnificent 3-1 win at South Park last Wednesday. How did we get on there last season? How much does it cost to get in? £9 for Adults £5 for Concessions (Over 60s, Students & Unemployed) £1 for Juniors (12–16 yrs) Under 12s are free (If accompanied by an Adult). How do I get there? Approach Ramsgate from the west via A299 (Canterbury/London) or A256 (Dover/Folkestone) to Lord of Manor roundabout. Follow the signpost to Ramsgate along Canterbury Road East, counting via 2nd exit of the 1st roundabout. At the 2nd roundabout, continues towards Ramsgate on London Road (2nd exit). Take the 3rd turning on the left, into St Mildred’s Avenue, then 1st left into Queen Bertha Road. After the right hand bend, take left into Southwood Road, and 1st left into Prices Ave. The stadium is at the end of Prices Avenue. There is amble free parking at the ground or on the surrounding streets. Ramsgate station is a 10 minute walk. How did they do last weekend? Last Wednesday they recorded an impressive 3-1 win at South Park. Their first win in 6 matches.. How did we get on there last season? Leiston Football Club LTAA Victory Road, Leiston, Suffolk, IP16 4DQ Whats the ground like? Ever improving. The club have come a long way in a short space both on and off the pitch. One main stand along one stand and on the opposite side is the clubhouse and patio area. How much does it cost to get in? Adults: £10 Concessions (over65): £7 Under 16's: £4 Under 10's: Free Under12s: free How do I get there? Driving is your best bet for Leiston. Most fans will arrive in the town via the A12 from Ipswich. It is easy to find, simply head in the direction of Lowestoft and around the ridiculous number of roundabouts to the south of Ipswich. After you pass through the village of Farnham (where the dual carriageway drops to a single carriageway) look out for the right hand turn onto the A1094 s/p Snape and Leiston. After 1 1/2 miles take the left into Snape Road (s/p Leiston) and follow this road into the town. Victory Road is second left after you come into the town. If you pass under a foot bridge then you have gone too far. Parking is at the ground and free. The nearest railway station is Saxmundham, around 5 miles away and only reachable by taxi. Our hosts after winning promotion at the 3rd attempt were placed in the Southern Counties East Football League where they sit comfortably mid-table. Casuals will be looking to maintain their 100% home record in cup competitions this season. We drew at Reachfields back at the start of the season when Josh Uzun rescued a point with a last gasp penalty.
