Hodges Scoops Three Awards in Night of Celebration

Dave Hodges scooped three awards in a night of season celebration at the annual Corinthian-Casuals club dinner.

Though absent, Hodges was voted for by his peers as 'Player's Player of the Year' which was matched by the thoughts of both the management team and fans alike, thus picking up 'Supporter's Player of the Year' and 'Manager's Player of the Year' in the process.

Hodges' contribution from his full-back position this season proved invaluable at critical points in matches and arguably provided the most assists at the most key moments – such as the cross for Juevan Spencer's last minute winner vs Grays Athletic to make FA Trophy history for the club.

His awards were received on his behalf by Josh Uzun, Shaun Okojie and Diego Maradona-Petriaggi, all of whom had been singled out by James Bracken as outstanding performers both on and off the field for different reasons.

Terry Murray bagged the 'Most Improved Player' award. Bracken, who has worked with Murray for three years highlighted how the defender's application and commitment never wavered and his performances never dipped under a 'seven' for the entire season. Murray was also praised for playing a whopping 60 games this season – the most of any outfield player at the club. Murray received his award with a rendition of 'Happy Birthday' as he celebrated his 21st birthday.

Reserve Manager Will Letts also dished out two awards to those who'd played for him for the majority of the season. Moses Kaddu scooped the 'Player's Player of the Year' and Ishmael Irskine won the 'Manager's Player of the Year' awards.

Goalkeepers Danny Bracken and Ricky Bowry gave their heartfelt thanks to keeper coach Alan Winnett for all his dedication and hard work in training them both throughout the year. Winnett was presented with a personalised pair of goalkeeper gloves.

The evening, which saw Bracken command an impressively passionate speech also included thanks from Chairman Brian Vandervilt and a heartfelt 'welcome' speech from new President Micky Stewart.

Congratulations to all those who won awards but in truth, all the players were absolute winners this season.
