PLANNING PERMISSION IS GRANTED!

A message from Chairman, Brian Adamson, regarding the club’s plans to develop a 4G nine-a-side training pitch and four padel courts on site at the Armada Group Stadium, King George’s Field…

What fantastic news I have to share with you today. After waiting for over 14 months, I am delighted to say that we have finally received planning permission to develop a 4G nine-a-side training pitch and four padel courts at the back of the ground behind the Phillips End (pictured).

The padel courts will provide the club with an important additional source of income, but the real gamechanger for me is the 4G training pitch. Having a proper training facility on our own site will make a huge difference to the club. It will provide a home for our youth teams, walking football and, of course, give us the opportunity to hire the facility out.

The additional income this development will generate should put the club on a much stronger financial footing and help secure its future for many years to come. In my 20 years of involvement with this football club, I honestly believe this is the biggest change we have ever seen. It is absolutely brilliant news, and I am really looking forward to getting started over the coming month.

We will keep you informed of developments as they happen.
