Considering the 5-1 hammering dished out last August and this evening's opposition high mid-table position of 10th the Casuals will favour this as a positive result. Further, Eastbourne slip down to last position in the standings. Precariously, and assuming Whitstable Town grab at least 2 points from their two games in hand safety from the drop to the Combined Counties League is now 12 points away.
Nevertheless, we are unbeaten in two and positively it could be seen as the start of a promising run, similar to that witnessed towards the latter half of season 2012-13. Byatt is back after injury and four new signings (Daniel Llacer, Pico Gomez, James Richmond & Steve Goddard) in the last few weeks could bring added strength to the squad and competition for places. The club also announces the coaching assistance of Steve Jay to the management team. Steve is a UEFA B License Holder and graduated with 2:1 Sports Coaching (honours) degree at UWIC. It seems the club may be blessed with his arrival having moved from the midlands to work full time at the Fulham Foundation at nearby Motspur Park. We wish Steve and our new signings a prosperous and enjoyable experience at King George's Field.
Together with the hard work behind the scenes at Red Barrell Productions, our increased following on Facebook and Twitter and the potentially award winning matchday programme the future of Corinthian-Casuals Football Club is indeed promising.
