Chipstead V Corinthian Casuals Saturday 6th February 3pm Ryman Division One South Where do they play? High Road, Chipstead, Surrey CR5 3SF Whats the ground like? Literally in the woods its a very picturesque setting and well worth a visit. How much does it cost to get in? Adults: £9 Concessions: £6 Under 16: £1 How do I get there? From M23/ M25 Take A23 northbound signposted towards Croydon. At Hooley turn left at traffic lights adjacent to BP garage which is Star Lane. Follow Star Lane into Elmore Road until reaching crossroads with High Road Chipstead (signposted Lower Kingswood & Reigate). Turn left and Chipstead F.C. is 200 yards on left. Parking for away teams is in the main car park adjacent to the clubhouse which is accessed by the second entrance on High Road next to the cricket club. From Purley/ CroydonLeave Purley by A23 southbound past Tescos on left. Follow A23 for about 1 mile into Coulsdon and turn right ( Red Lion pub on left) into Chipstead Valley Road. Go through traffic lights and take left fork 200 yards ahead at church into Portnalls Road (Smitham School on left). Follow this road for about mile ¾ which leads into Coulsdon lane and then bears left into High Road Chipstead. Go past White Hart pub on right, Rugby club on left, through crossroads at Elmore ponds, and Chipstead F.C. is 200 yards on left. Alternatively you can stay on A23 through Coulsdon into Hooley and turn right at B.P. Garage, then follow directions as from M23/25. Any problems-please call the Club on 01737 553250 How did they do last weekend? A 1-0 away win at Tooting & Mitcham which continues the Chips recent fine form as they bid to beat the drop. How did we get on there last season? A 2-0 victory last March. Anything else I should know? Dont think that going to Chipstead station is a good idea! Its a mile walk from the ground with no pavements. The club advise to travel to Coulsdon South and get a cab. The Pilot Field, Elphinstone Road, Hastings TN34 2AX Whats the ground like? One of the most traditional in non-league. Well worth a visit How much does it cost to get in? Adults: £10.00 Concessions: £6 Under 18: Free How do I get there? As you reach the northern outskirts of the town you will see a sign “Hastings & St Leonards, birthplace of television” on your left (A28 joins A21 at this point). You immediately pass under a bridge, take first turning right into Junction Road. After 300 yards you come to a ‘T’ junction. Turn right onto The Ridge and follow this road for about two miles going straight on at two roundabouts. Upon reaching the cemetery on your left turn right into Elphinstone Road and The Pilot Field is on your left after half-a-mile. How did they do last weekend? Our game at home to Hastings was postponed but prior to that they defeated Guernsey 2-0. How did we get on there last season? a 2-0 victory on a cold and wet Monday evening just under a year ago Anything else I should know?
