Late cup agony

Casuals crashed out of the FA Cup in contraversial circumstances as a late late Jamie Cade penalty sent Horsham though to the next round.

After weathering an early storm the visitors will look back on a game they created and spurned several chances with home keeper Gareth Williams named man of the match.

However with the game approaching injury time Casuals were aggrieved when Danny Dudley was adjudged to have held back player manager Gary Charman.  To make matters worse the assistant referee indicated the offence was inside the box and Dudley was dismissed,  Cade stepped up to finish past Danny Bracken and seal a home at home to Kingstonian for the Hornets.

The Hornets after losing their first 3 games of the season have improved with a draw at Burgess Hill before last weekends first win but they still currently sit 22nd in the table. They were rocked this week when highly rated striker Billy Dunn quit the club for the second time in a few months.

Casuals heaped the misery on bottom side Walton Casuals with an emphatic 4-1 victory at a soaked King George's Arena on Bank Holiday Monday.

In difficult conditions a fairly even first half was lit up on the stroke of half time when Michael Fahm stooped superbly to head home Mahrez Bettache's cross.

The second period was all one way traffic once Simon Huckle headed past his stranded keeper into his own net

Half time substitute Michael Salako (pictured) got in on the act with two superbly taken goals as a rampant Casuals tore apart their visitors who are still pointless after 6 games. They did however have a late consolation from Okai to show for their efforts.

The win lifts Casuals up into 7th place as they head into Saturdays FA cup tie at Horsham.

Monday 25th August 3pm
Ryman Division One South

After earning our first point of the season away from home, Casuals return to King George's Arena this bank holiday Monday as we host Walton Casuals.

Our visitors come into the game having endured a tough start to the season having lost all 5 of their opening games. At the weekend they went down            1-0 to Carshalton Athletic. Its a stark contrast to the same point of last season where a late Connor French penalty earned Walton a 2-1 win at Tolworth an in doing so sent them top of the table.

Admission prices for the bank holiday clash are £8 Adults /£4 Concessions.
