LATOPE Sports & Entertainment have entered into an agreement with the iconic South West London amateur side Corinthian-Casuals FC to become the club’s newest partner and back of shirt sponsor.

The deal will see the LATOPE logo emblazoned on the back of both ‘Casuals’ chocolate & pink home strip as well as the ‘Corinthian’ white change strip.

LATOPE is a commercial agency that represents some of the world’s biggest Latin American football stars that play across Europe’s major leagues.

Corinthian-Casuals FC are currently the highest ranked amateur football club in England and play in the Isthmian League Premier Division.

The Corinthian-Casuals Football Club was formed in 1939 following the merger of the two great amateur sides bearing those names - Corinthian FC and Casuals FC.

Corinthian FC was formed in 1882 by the FA with the aim to bring together England's best players to create a team capable of beating Scotland.

The Casuals were formed in 1883 by a group of former alumni from England's prominent public schools. They supplied Corinthian FC with many of their players.

Corinthian FC were true footballing pioneers as they took the game around the globe touring the Americas, Europe and South Africa.

The “Corinthian Spirit” ethos of approaching the game with sportsmanship, fair play and playing for the love of the game drew widespread admiration.

Real Madrid replicated the white kit of Corinthian FC whilst Brazilian club Sport Club Corinthians Paulista were formed by impressed locals after a tour to São Paulo in 1910. Even after the merger with Casuals in 1939, the clubs retained their links. The clubs played again in 2015 and the Casuals’ home of King George’s Field is a pilgrimage for many Brazilian fans of Corinthians Paulista.

On the partnership, Matthew Harrison, co-founder of LATOPE Sports & Entertainment said: “We are delighted to partner and support the Casuals, they have a deep history within football and a fascinating story. Our aim was always to give back into grassroots football and we have found a club that has tremendous values and we look forward to an exciting season”

Corinthian-Casuals spokesperson, Stuart Tree added “It’s a great pleasure to have Latope on board. The enthusiasm to be a part of this great club has been remarkable and we’re delighted that they’re partnering with us. Latope have an ethos that absolutely matches the club’s and it’s a perfect fit. We’re going to be working closely to bring bigger and better exposure for both the club and Latope in the future with some brilliant projects in the pipeline. It’s definitely an exciting time”
