Corinthian-Casuals 2 – 0 Fleet Town
Combined Counties League Premier South Saturday 22nd November 2025 Report: Stuart Tree (with photos here). Photos: Andy Nunn “I don’t recall a performance that I’ve been prouder of.” “Magnificent performance from the lads. Chased everything, blocked, created, worked for each other in awful conditions. Utterly superb.” “Missing Andre due to suspension today was tricky enough but to go down to 10 men inside the first 30 minutes as well and to go on and get the 3 points is superb, against a play off chasing team. Everyone battled so well and one of our best team performances I’ve seen” What better way to open this report than with comments from fans on social media. For anyone not in attendance today, you get a feel for the performance put in by Corinthian-Casuals against a good Fleet Town side. As the last comment alluded to, top scorer Andre Coker was missing for this tough matchup thanks to an accumulation of yellow cards. In stepped Kieron Scantlebury and Patrick Maia to provide the attacking threat on what was a tricky afternoon, weather-wise. Casuals have no lack of footballing talent; that’s evident to anyone who’s seen Mu Maan’s side. Always noted by opposition as playing good football, sometimes the side lacked a real drive and tenacity to graft out hard-fought results. But yesterday felt like a turning point; since Scott Day’s arrival, the midfielder has added bite to the centre of the park. It’s freed up Arsenii Protsyshyn to thrive in his role. Returning to social media’s comments “ Arsenii and Day in the middle won the battle like a couple of bouncers on a Saturday night.” It’s also no surprise that Casuals have kept three clean sheets in the past four games and not conceded from open play in that time. Consider that the latest of these shut-outs was with just ten men for over an hour. In his post match interview, Day explained that “with ten men, everyone works a little harder.” Casuals were down a man when Diogo Da Silva was uncharacteristically dismissed for violent conduct. It was deemed that he’d struck a Fleet player on the back in a melee that resulted in the surprising red card. Despite the handicap, it was the home side who took the lead. Shea Cascoe-Roger’s layoff to Day in the box saw the midfielder curl one over the keeper and under the bar for 1-0. And Casuals dug in, battening down the hatches in every sense on a day when even the far-side flags had soddenly given up. And while Fleet pushed for an equaliser, it was left to Day’s partner, Protsyshyn to put the game to bed. Following a Clayton Afonso interception, the defender fed George Hockey who kept a cool head to square for an unmarked Protsyshyn to finish. The steam, the soaking shirts, the mud on the floor of the changing rooms was the evidence of leaving everything out on the pitch on this wintery afternoon. Casuals have fight in them. It was pleasing to see. And it was a message to all sides in the Combined Counties – just like those bouncers on a Saturday night – ‘you ain’t coming in.’

Corinthian-Casuals 3-0 Guildford City
Combined Counties League Premier South Tuesday 11th November 2025 Report: Stuart Tree. Images: Andy Nunn. Corinthian-Casuals hit back with a resounding 3-0 win over Guildford City to put them one point off the playoff places. A brace from Andre Coker and an early second half header from Clayton Afonso saw off bottom side Guildford in a dominant performance. It was a relief for Manager Mu Maan following a disappointing loss to Horley Town just three days earlier. A number of changes were made from that defeat including the debut of Freddie Greenstreet on dual registration from National League side Woking. Guildford City, languishing at the foot of the table with a meagre five points put up more of a fight than their lowly position suggested. But that was undone after 28 minutes when Andre Coker turned his man in the box and struck into the bottom far corner. “A lovely little goal” as described over the PA system by match announcer Lucy. Casuals doubled their lead on the stroke of half time when Coker curled his free kick from 20 yards into the corner. Guildford emerged for the second half with makeshift keeper Kallum Peart, who up to that point had donned the seven shirt. Despite conceding early on to a Clayton Afonso towering header, courtesy of Diogo Da Silva’s corner, Peart looked like he had a whale of a time in goal. Peart made a number of confident saves, including a point blank wonder stop to prevent substitute Patrick Maia from adding a fourth. It was an impressive shut out from the winger in an otherwise meek performance from the visitors. It was vital for Maan’s Casuals to get points on the board ahead of a trip to Camberley Town on Saturday. They’ll feel they’re back in the playoff hunt with three points at Krooner Park potentially propelling Corinth into the top five. Corinthian-Casuals 1 - 2 Horley Town
Combined Counties League Premier South Saturday 8th November 2025 Report and Photos : Stuart Tree (full set here) Corinthian-Casuals boss Mu Maan couldn’t believe his side conspired to lose to Horley Town in the Combined Counties on Saturday. Two goals from two identical set pieces undone Casuals at home for only the second time in the league this season. “I can't believe we've lost that one,” admitted Maan after the match. “They didn't create any chances until the set piece. And I said to the boys at halftime, the only way that we were going to lose this game is from a set piece. And that's exactly what happened.” Andre Coker had given the hosts the lead early in the first half but were pegged back on the stroke of half time before succumbing to Horley at the death. Whilst it wasn’t the capitulation of last season that saw Horley come back from three goals down to earn a draw, Casuals will feel sick that they got nothing from this encounter. It was already a disappointing afternoon learning that George Bond had taken an offer from Redhill. The ever-present full back’s departure was a blow for Maan, in a squad already struggling with injuries. And it all started with a couple of bizarre twists; the absence of one official saw kickoff delayed until a replacement was sourced. It’s both club’s thanks to John Chinnery – a registered official for stepping in at the last minute. Even then, when the two teams emerged twenty minutes late, the kit clash was evident for all to see. With the setting sun low in the sky, it was almost impossible to differentiate the sides. Ten minutes in and at the request of the Casuals management, the home side swapped into their change strip. The contrasting clarity paid off; Casuals silkily moved the ball down the right hand side before lifting a delicate cross to Andre Coker on the edge of the box, who calmly dummied a sliding Ben Dyson challenge and firing home into the top left corner of the Horley net. It was a dominant first half display until Casuals fell into their trap of taking their foot off the gas. It allowed Horley back into the game and via a poorly defended free kick, they’d found an ugly equaliser. The real disappointment was the lack of drive or urgency from Corinth. The second half played by in the middle third with little or no threat at either end. Substitute Patrick Maia was unlucky not to beat keeper Sam Saward to the loose ball. Saward was otherwise never tested as Casuals found it hard to produce a final killer touch. And it all turned sour when Joe Carrington popped up with his second of the match deep into stoppage time. To concede from a set piece is sloppy but to do it twice from the same position to the same man is criminal. Casuals got what they deserved in light of their second half performance. They’ll need to pick themselves up quickly as King George’s hosts Guildford City on Tuesday night. “I'm very, very disappointed,” said Maan after the match. “I said to the boys, the next four games are very, very vital for our season. We need to get points on the board. We're at home.” “We played well at first. We had some good moments. We were moving the ball nicely. My personal opinion is that Gabs coming off changed the game. He was the hold up man and we were playing through him. After that, we had to change the formation a little bit, and I don't think the subs made an impact as we’d have liked. “We didn't get going the second half. We had a few moments and the game was there for the taking. You know, we're at home, had a few chances but didn't take them. So yeah, it’s very hard to take.” Redhill 0-0 Corinthian-Casuals
Combined Counties League Premier Division Saturday 1st November 2025 Report and Photos: Stuart Tree (full set here) Additional photos from Andy Nunn Corinthian-Casuals put pay to their midweek horror show with a well-earned point on the road at Redhill in the league on Saturday. But they’ll rue missed chances at the end of a tight contest that could’ve seen Mu Maan’s side walk away with all three points. Redhill remain unbeaten at home this season and thus was no small feat to take something from Kiln Brow. If Casuals are to make a playoff push, then points on the road are vital. Maan addressed his injury woes by signing Kiyo Brown, who had been with Corinth last season as well as veteran midfielder Scott Day. Casuals’ crocked list includes core players Marcos Dos Santos, Arsenii Protsyshyn, Rafa Barbosa and Victor Sampaio to name just a few. On a Halloween themed family-oriented afternoon, Casuals got off to a promising start. George Hockey’s poke at the back stick was adjudged offside in what was a well-worked move to break down the Lobster’s familiar defence of former Casuals Tommy Smith and Danny Dudley. Casuals’ towering defender Clayton Afonso looked like the biggest threat from corners following an otherwise tight first half, reduced to half chances at both ends. It was the second period where Casuals got a grip of the game. Brown linked with Trey Masikini on the right as well as George Bond did with Andre Coker. Afonso’s looping header just crept over the stanchion and Hakeem Adelakun’s powerful shot whistled past the bar. But the best chance fell to the Hockey-Coker double act. The development squad striker beautifully cut in from the byline to square off to the usually deadly Coker, but even with his green-dyed hair, he’d have felt more like the Joker when blazing over from six yards! The last knockings saw Gabriel Odunaike’s header beaten away by James Dillon in the Redhill goal and thus the points shared. “We've been going through a tough time,” admitted Maan after the final whistle. “But we turned up here and we could have folded. I'm very proud of the boys. I think we were the better team. We looked well organised. There was only one team that was going to win that game.” “We’ll take the positives. It’s a a clean sheet today, a reaction from midweek and a good performance. That's all I asked for.” Tadley Calleva 2 - 0 Corinthian-Casuals
Combined Counties League Premier Division Tuesday 28th October 2025 Report: Stuart Tree Corinthian-Casuals midweek woes continued with a dour 2-0 loss at Tadley Calleva on Tuesday night. Mu Maan’s side haven’t picked up a single point in their midweek travels since a 1-1 draw with Knaphill over a year ago. Just five of Casuals 22 points so far have been gained on the road. With a resounding 4-1 win over Thatcham Town on Saturday, it was hoped that Corinth would push on with their playoff hopes. And despite minimal changes to personnel (Diogo Da Silva in for Gabriel Odunaike and Connor Everitt for Shea Cascoe-Rogers), the match took on a very different guise to the weekend’s fare. A change in formation, playing three at the back, with wing-backs deployed didn’t reap rewards, often leaving huge gaps in midfield to which a well organised Tadley side took advantage of. It felt like young Connor Everitt, making his first start after coming in from the Under 23’s was often left to try and fill the hole. Tadley had a number of threatening advances, with the closest being a rushed clearance rebounding off their forward and almost into an empty net. Casuals were living a charmed life, until Connor Thorne broke into the box and drilled his shot past Sanghyun Baek’s near post. Six minutes later and Tadley had a second, which killed the game, considering Casuals had barely mustered an effort on goal. Some desperate defending saw Ash Neal eventually tap into an empty net leaving Corinth reeling. A formation change saw Maan’s Casuals become a ‘tad’ more competitive in the second period, but continually faced a yellow wall of committed Calleva players. They left Casuals with no time on the ball, often doubling or tripling up on their men. They also had fight and spirit, celebrating well won throw-ins or good challenges in a rousing way of keeping motivation up. It clearly works for them as they notched up their eleventh unbeaten result at home this season. Take nothing away from Tadley – they’ve built up Barlow’s Park as a real fortress. Slim pickings were left for the travelling Casuals with Wilgnner Ewerton's free kick going dangerously close and a late save preventing Arsenii Protsyshn from getting his second in two games. But those were the meagre highlights of the half-chances that all could be mustered in an otherwise tepid performance. Casuals look imperious at home; They lay third in the form table for home matches with just one loss this season. There’s no doubt that with a good crowd and a good pitch, Maan’s side thrive at King George’s. But if they’re to challenge for playoff places, they need to quickly work out a way to gain points on the road, or else a mid-table finish beckons once again. Corinthian-Casuals 4-1 Thatcham Town Combined Counties League Premier South Saturday 25th October 2025 Report and Photos: Stuart Tree (full set of pictures here) Corinthian-Casuals ended their recent poor run of results with a resounding 4-1 victory over Thatcham Town. Goals from Gabriel Odunaike, Arsenii Protsyshyn, Andre Coker and Patrick Maia lifted Mu Maan’s side to one point outside the playoff places. Despite the rout, Maan thought his side had more in them. “I told the boys at halftime, I don't think we got out first gear,” said the Manager after the final whistle. “We could have been a bit more aggressive. And I know we won 4-1, but it could have been a bigger score line.” Casuals had only picked up one point in the last three games, finding the net just once since striker Rafa Barbosa suffered a knock against Kingstonian at the start of the month. Thatcham came to Tolworth desperate for points following six defeats on the bounce. Their task looked infinitely harder when Assistant Manager and emergency forward Gabriel Odunaike ran through to claim his second goal in three games and adding to his 32 goals in his previous spell in James Bracken’s promotion-winning side. At the other end of the scale was young forward George Hockey – earning his place in the forward line after bagging a brace for the Under 23’s last week. Hockey, former Captain of Lancing College was recommended by none other than former Casual and TV commentator Martin Tyler. Hockey, who was lively all game, was a little unfortunate to be booked for simulation despite being clipped in the box by a Thatcham defender. It didn’t take long for Casuals to earn a second goal; Arsenii Protsyshyn popping up with a lovely looping strike from 20 yards gave the home side clear daylight. And it was three just after the half hour mark when Thatcham keeper Nathan Smith made a right hash of Andre Coker’s free kick. Having lined up his wall for the left foot of Hakeen Adelakun, he was wrong footed when Coker struck his effort, bouncing over the stricken stopper to give Casuals an unassailable lead. The second half’s energy dropped with the temperature and Thatcham also dropped a man after skipper Callum Willmoth was shown red following a late challenge on Shea Cascoe Rogers.
Despite being a man down, Kye Williams popped up to deny Casuals a clean sheet and give a sliver of hope for the visitors in the last ten minutes. Any hope of a dramatic comeback was snuffed out by substitute Patrick Maia who took the sting out of Thatcham, by notching up his third goal of the season with five minutes left. The win puts Casuals in eighth place just one point outside of the playoff places. “The last the last three games were disappointing,” admitted Maan after the match. “But like I've said before, teams go through tough times. It's just how you get out of it. And the best way to do it is to get three points. Whether it was 1-0 or 4-1, three points are three points. “We brought a couple of boys in from the Development squad today. Connor (Everitt) joined in centre midfield and George (Hockey) up top. Both lads done well and had plenty of energy. “They're good players. And that's the whole point of having the Under 23’s. If there's any players that are good enough, then the chance is there for them.” Corinthian-Casuals 1 - 0 Eversley & California
Combined Counties League Division South Saturday 27th September 2025 Report and Photos: Stuart Tree. Additional pics: Andy Nunn. Corinthian-Casuals made it the perfect week for points after a solid 1-0 win over Eversley & California in the league on Saturday. A moment of quality from Andre Coker was enough to ensure Mu Maan’s side took six points from six following the 2-1 win over Sheerwater in the week. Despite scoring just a solitary goal, Casuals never looked in any danger as Eversley rarely threatened the back-line, who were excellent in snuffing out any semblance of an attack. Thus Corinth were able to notch up their third clean sheet this season. Notable changes saw Trey Masikini fill in at Right Back and Marcos Dos Santos slot in at Centre Back. Diogo Da Silva still took a place on the bench following a knock last week. In a cagey first half, chances were few and far between. Coker, frustrated with himself, couldn’t find his feet to really test Josh Selby in the Boar’s goal. That was left to top scorer, Rafa Barbosa who’s twenty yard effort was beaten away at full stretch. The pick of the bunch in an otherwise, slow and tame affair. But the game came alive following Barbosa’s cheeky nutmeg which led to the Brazilian being pulled down on the edge of the area. Up stepped Coker, who made a mockery of the tight angle to whip his free-kick into the far top corner to give Casuals the lead. Eversley’s resilient defence kept Casuals at bay for the rest of the match, with the best being a last ditch intervention following substitute Da Silva’s pull back looking certain to find Coker for an easy tap in. Coker was chosen as Man of the Match for that piece of brilliance that separated the sides. His award was presented by Oscar nominated film director, Peter Cattaneo, no less. An entertaining affair, if not a classic but Maan wasn’t bothered; the win meant his side continued to be in the mix at the right end of the league table. “I don’t think we played bad at all. We were on top of them the whole game. We did start a little slow but in the grand scale of the match, we deserved that goal and we deserved that win. “And it was a lovely bit of quality from Andre Coker to seal the three points. We know he's capable of those moments. That's why we brought him in.” Sutton Athletic 2 – 1 Corinthian-Casuals Isuzu FA Vase 2nd Qualifying Round Saturday 20th September 2025 Report and Photos: Stuart Tree (full set here) Additional photos from Andy Nunn Corinthian-Casuals Manager Mu Maan believes his side deserved what they got as they bowed out of the FA Vase at the first hurdle, following a 2-1 defeat to Kent side Sutton Athletic. An injury time winner for the hosts condemned Casuals to defeat despite the Tolworth outfit taking the lead early on in the match. Sutton Athletic looked a tough draw on paper; five wins from their last six matches and second in the Southern Counties East table proved this would be no easy feat. To make matters worse for Maan, he was without former Vase winner Quincy Rowe, captain Arsenii Protsyshyn and Wilgnner Ewerthon. A makeshift back four was cobbled together with Cameron Baptiste moving on up from the Under 23s for his debut. In fact, Rowe, in attendance had spoken about the joy of an FA Vase win at Wembley, not least having scored in the final itself. Had his wistful narrative found the ears of his teammates? Or was this just another pesky cup competition to detract from the league campaign, in which Casuals sit two points from the top of the table? The excitement hadn’t reached the supporters with only a fraction of what Corinth usually take away, making the journey. Despite the challenges, Casuals found the early exchanges easy going. It only took four minutes for the opener. Andre Coker dispossessed his marker and squared a ball for Diogo Da Silva to slot home. An encouraging start. But Corinth never got out of first gear for the rest of the half. It was Sutton who came closest to grabbing the next when a back-post effort hit the crossbar before the follow up could only find the side netting. It was a fragile lead and it wouldn’t be long before it cracked. As is the case in this sport, fine margins are the difference between victory and defeat. Casuals had two great chances to extend their lead after the break. A good save from Jack Glassborrow denied Kieran Scantlebury and Da Silva crashed an effort off the bar, all before Athletic went down the other end and Namory Kane found the final touch following 18 yard box pinball. And as a penalty shoot-out loomed, Casuals earned a corner which was duly wasted and allowed Athletic to break, two-on-one with devastating effect, Taylor Fisher neatly finishing the move in the 91st minute. There was no applause at the end. Just apathy. The concern for Maan is in the performance, or therein the lack of one. Casuals looked disjointed. A far cry from the 5-1 drubbing of Alton or even the recent draw at Abbey. That fabled ‘bouncebackability’ needs to come into effect quickly as league action returns on Tuesday night. “We have to take a defeat like this like men and we have to be honest with ourselves,” said Maan after the match. “That’s the takeaway from today. We haven’t taken anything else home with us because that’s all we deserved… nothing.
“Myself and the management team had a long chat with the boys in the changing room afterwards as we all knew that wasn’t good enough or anywhere near the standards we can achieve. “It felt like the Badshot Lea game repeated itself. We went 1-0 up in the first ten minutes and we took our foot off the gas. We should’ve been on the front foot but we never got going after scoring. And when that happened, there was only one team that was going to win the tie. “We all know this game is about fine margins. We had golden opportunities before they equalised. Kieran has a great chance saved and Diogo smashes the bar. Either one would’ve killed the game off and we’d be in the hat for the next round. But a number of collective sloppy mistakes have cost us and we were rightly punished.” Abbey Rangers 0 - 0 Corinthian-Casuals
Saturday 13th September 2025 Combined Counties Premier South Report and Photos: Christopher Randall. (full set of photos here) After a slow in results, Corinthian-Casuals were back with a bang against Alton; their slick performance rewarded with a gluttony of goals on a sunny Saturday at the Armada Group Stadium, tallying a 5-1 victory by the chime of the final whistle. And with an unchanged eleven a week later and an hour down the road, there was a feeling of optimism from the Casuals dugout that rang around Addlestone Moor prior to kick off. The squad looked sharp in the warmup; every touch cushioning the ball that skimmed off a noticeably-longer turf, whilst shouts between players indicated a clear readiness to take on the incoming challenge from Abbey Rangers. But just as it was a little over a month ago, those in pink and chocolate started relatively slowly, with the home side dominating possession. However, a four-wide Corinthian backline, consisting of Zack Ejeta, Quincy Rowe, Arsenii Protsyshyn and George Bond held strong against the pressure of those in black and white, repelling the attack before any clear view on goal could be found. So much so that it was the Corinth who had the opening look - Trey Masikini’s ball across the six-yard box narrowly slipped by a charging Raf Barbosa, even with the forward at full stretch. A stalemate began which was always going to be difficult to shake. Abbey forced a fine save out of young Casuals goalkeeper Sanghyun Baek, his outstretched foot marginally deflecting the ball away from goal, whilst the away side shifted their passes forward for Patrick Maia to break into the box - his penalty shout rejected by the referee. Perhaps the first signal that it wasn’t to be Casuals’ day came just before the halftime whistle, with George Bond forced off through injury after a heavy knock to the ankle. However, he was to be replaced by a returning Clayton Afonso, who slotted into centre-back just as the rain began to pour down. It was clear there had been an emphasis on energy in the changing room at the break - Mu Maan’s side returning to the pitch with a significantly higher press from the off. An early penalty shout for the home side, playing in a club-classic black and white stripes, was turned away by the referee, and the balance seemed to shift in Casuals’ favour. The away side’s relentless pressure prevented the Rangers from finding a way out of their own half, but shots from Diogo Da Silva and Andre Coker were blocked in a strong defensive showing. Throughout the second half, Patrick Maia, Trey Masikini and Diogo Da Silva were all replaced by Raekwon Bailey-Allen, Rewan Alyasi and Marcos Dos Santos as the Casuals dugout attempted to spur energy into a travelling side that needed to strike when it hurt. Yet, neither side for the duration of the second half had a true glimmer of promise that was to test either goalkeeper, much to the frustration of those in attendance. And so the final whistle blew, ending a tough battle all square with the honours shared. But with the lack of breakthrough came pent up frustration, and just as many looked for their way home, a melee broke out between the teams. Ultimately, it was to end in the dismissal of the Abbey Rangers No.20 along with Quincy Rowe. It was a sour end to a well-fought, even game of football; one where Corinthian-Casuals will perhaps walk away feeling as though they could’ve taken more from the occasion, had they found the end product they know they have in the locker. Corinthian-Casuals: Baek, Ejeta, Protsyshyn, Rowe, Bond (Afonso 44’) , Vitinho, Masikini (Alyasi 78’), Da Silva (Dos Santos 90’), Coker, Maia (Bailey-Allen 68’), Barbosa. Subs: Afonso, Dos Santos, Bailey-Allen, Alyasi, Sell Corinthian-Casuals 5 – 1 Alton Saturday 6th September 2025 Combined Counties Premier South Report: Stuart Tree. Pics: Stuart Tree, Harvey Abbott and Andy Nunn. Corinthian-Casuals produced a five-star performance as they put Alton to the sword in the Combined Counties Premier South. The win lifts Mu Maan’s side to within one point off the top of the league table. With five different scorers, Casuals showed their full attacking prowess. The double disappointment of the 2-0 loss to Tooting and Mitcham in the week, along with the departure of defender Tommy Smith, back to his old club, Redhill hung over King George’s. Thankfully, with the return of Arsenii Protsyshyn to the defensive line-up, there wasn’t a need for a major reshuffle. Casuals had bounced back from each loss this season with resounding wins; Badshot Lea was followed by the win at Cobham and the FA Cup 5-3 loss saw a turnaround against unbeaten Epsom and Ewell. Could Corinth complete the hat-trick of bouncebackabilities? It started off in the worst possible way. Alton’s Alex MaCallister headed home a corner at the near post to give the visitors the lead. But when Rafa Barbosa broke free and rebounded his shot off the inside of the post, it gave Casuals the hope that they could break down Alton’s defence. And how they did! A fortuitous deflection from Diogo Da Silva’s free kick saw Corinth equalise. His celebration a homage to his pregnant partner, both expecting their first child! Moments later, fellow Brazilian Rafa Barbosa lifted his acute angled shot over Rhomey Ashby-Hammond to give Casuals the lead by half time. Cue Barbosa’s very own chant from the 255 in attendance, given the rising popularity of the striker who now has 5 in 6 games. But it was after the break that Maan’s side turned the screw. Andre Coker lit up the place with a fierce 30 yarder that sent eruptions around King George’s. Next in on the act was Patrick Maia – his calm finish came after being picked out by a fantastic Raf Barbosa ball across the box. And the icing on the cake was from Trey Masikini - making two goal of the season contenders in one game. Diogo Da Silva broke through and laid the ball off perfectly for the Casuals No.11, who curled the ball inside the right post. A host of substitutions, including the debut for Mansfield Town loanee George Burgess-Allen brought the game back down to earth as a beleaguered Alton couldn’t muster a comeback and thus the victory was complete. “No disrespect to Alton, it could have been six or seven.” said Maan after the match. “We stated off slow. I’m obviously not happy with the goal we conceded. But I can’t fault the reaction. We showed our potential, because we scored some cracking goals, some great individual performances from back to front, and everything seemed to click. “It was disappointing to lose to Tooting in the week but it’s all about the reaction. We've lost before, and gone and given a perfect reaction. Both wins at Cobham and against Epsom following losses shows that we’ve got fight. I keep saying that we have a very good squad, they’re all very good lads in there. They deserved that today. “The credit goes to the boys, because they're the ones out there. They're doing it. We've had a few new faces in there today too and it’s nice to see that they're starting to gel. “After that performance I'd rather have had a game scheduled on Tuesday now. The boys know what levels that they reach, and they've set the standard here today. Regarding the departure of Tommy Smith during the week, Maan said, “Players make their decisions. I only want players that want to be here, and if players want to go and move on for whatever reason, then that's their call.” |
