The borough’s two senior football clubs will be offering support to two locally-based charities: Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness (KCAH) and Kingston Carers Network (KCN). We are asking anyone who attends our matches in the run-up to Christmas and the derby day fixture on Monday 27th December to give generously to these. There will also be a bucket collection and 50/50 raffle to be split evenly between our chosen charities.
Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness (KCAH) are Casuals’ charity partners and do excellent work in providing help to the homeless people in our Borough. KCAH have particularly requested food and clothing donations. This is the forth year of this partnership. If you can please bring item(s) from the following list, this will really help homeless people in our Borough.
- Pot Noodles
- Tea / Coffee / Sugar
- Used cleaned men's coats / jackets
- New or clean 'used' sleeping bags but must be in their sleeves
- New or good condition used rucksacks (ideally 60L so a sleeping bag can comfortably fit)
- New men's 'trunks' underwear (Size M or L)
- New socks
Our fundraising will also help support KCN – Kingstonian’s local community partners who are based locally on Tolworth Broadway. They provide support to more than 3,000 adult carers and around 850 young carers from the Kingston Borough through a wide range of services. Kingstonian hold two Young Carers Days a year at home matches and also provide football fun days for young carers.
You can visit KCAH and KCN’s websites to learn more about the excellent work of the coworker club’s selected local charity partners
