Geoff played for the First Team over 6 Seasons from 1957/58, mainly at full back, then for many years, in the Schools Team. A long time committee man, he was Chairman for 5 years from 2001 – 2006, presiding over a difficult period with Kingston Council over the Tolworth lease and over ground improvements that helped us get back into the Isthmian League.
After school at Sir George Monoux G.S. in Walthamstow and two years National Service in the RAF, Geoff was three years at Selwyn College, Cambridge, reading history. He played against Oxford at right back in 1957/58 in a 1-1 draw. He taught briefly at Forest, then for 37 years at Winchester, where, as well as running football and cricket for a long period, he was a house master for 15 years, then Registrar, then Deputy Head.
A minute’s silence in honour of Geoff will be observed at the home match against Sittingbourne on 24th February.
